Puppets in Theatre

Students in Daniele Baxa’s Eisenhower High School Theatre class have taken Theatre a step further with the help of Puppets. Mrs. Baxa is always looking for unique and innovative ways to bring her classes to life. 

Puppets give the students a creative way to practice scripts while exploring another fine arts pathway. Mrs. Baxa says, “Puppetry has always been an area that I have wanted to introduce our theatre students to because it allows them to tell a story, express emotion, and experience a different form of theatre.” Theatre students were excited to try the puppets for the first time, practicing scripts, using the puppets to create new characters, stretching their creativity, and performing for classmates to grow their on-stage confidence.
